'The Flash' Season 9 Trailer, Release Date: Barry Allen Saving the
World One Last Time!
The ultimate journey of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) in
The Flash has a new look for fans. For the forthcoming ninth and last season of
the program, The CW has unveiled a brand-new teaser.
The trailer opens with Joe West (Jesse L. Martin)
commending Barry for everything he has endured over the previous nine years.
Barry then appears in the woods wearing only his Flash outfit and declaring
that he needs someone's assistance to rescue the planet. The Barry is then seen
with Mark Blaine, played by Jon Cor, who was last seen with Caitlin Snow,
played by Danielle Panabaker, moments before she entered a Consciousness
Resurrection Chamber to help Killer Frost be brought back to life. The S.T.A.R.
Labs chamber in the trailer also shows a hand. The teaser ends with a view of
The Flash and Barry saying, "Let's do this one last time.", in
voiceover.

Season 9 of The Flash's cancellation was revealed in
August. "9 seasons! Saving Central City for nine years while taking
viewers on an emotional journey filled with compassion, humor, and spectacle,
"When the series finale was revealed, showrunner Eric Wallace described
it. Barry Allen has finally arrived at the starting line for his final race.
The Flash will surpass Arrow, which aired for eight seasons from 2012 to 2020,
as the longest-running Arrowverse series when it concludes after its ninth
season. It will follow Smallville, which ran for 10 seasons on The CW from 2001
and 2011, as the second-longest-running DC Comics television series.

The Arrowverse, which debuted on The CW in 2012 with
Arrow, will come to an end with The Flash's ninth season. There will also be
some recognizable characters from other Arrowverse series returning in the
ninth season. Javicia Leslie, who portrayed Ryan Wilder/the second Batwoman in
the film Batwoman, will be one of them. Following Bruce Wayne's (Warren
Christie) cousin Kate Kane, Wilder was the second figure in the Arrowverse to
assume the role of Batwoman (originally played by Ruby Rose and later Wallis
Day). Leslie previously had two guest appearances in The Flash's eighth season
as part of the "Armageddon" plot. As Dreamer/Nia Nal, Nicole Maines
will return for the season. Nia had previously made a cameo in seasons 4-6 of
Supergirl. Dreamer partnered with The Flash and other Arrowverse heroes as part
of the 2019–2020 "Crisis on Infinite Earths" storyline.
On Wednesday, February 8, The CW will air the first
episode of The Flash's final season. Currently, you can watch the first eight
seasons on Netflix. View the final season's trailer below while you wait:
